Grandmas Sunlight
This lamp is a homage to Grandmas Kitchen and the unmeasurable comfort that it could provide, directly inspired by sitting at the dining table, watching the morning sun creep through the blinds, and getting lost visually by all the forms and shadows cast through the often delecate and pure-looking fabric. This lamp is built from up-cycled materials and is an exploration of difusion through fabrics that aren't traditionally used in lamp making. A key objective was for it to cast light from each side to create a more natural glow. The re-used tablecloth is suspended by an untreated timber frame, and the light source is an LED ceiling light suspended to avoid direct lines from breaking the projection of light.
